Sunset over the Aguda Beach

A story behind: So the surfers went away. I moved a little bit to the left to photograph a rock that started to appear from the water. As the low tide began the water went slowly down. The sky opened for a couple of minutes.
I put two "grads" filters and shot a picture. Almost forgot: the waves hit me hard and soaked my legs.

Location: Aguda beach, Portugal ( google map )

  2. Living in Ireland my memory of beautiful dawns or dusks can quite easily get blured and fade away come winter time, as sometimes I cannot distinguish a dawn from a dusk, all monochromatic and grey. Sites like yours give me certainty that the sun is still up there, shining and a hope to see it again soon. Thanks!

  3. @Delie - dziękuję !

@Piotr - very interesting insight "how´s the winter life in Ireland" :))
Here in Portugal the problem is quite opposite. Local short winter is the only period during the year when things get better ( from the photographer´s point of view ). There are interesting clouds and cooler temperatures, that make the photos more absorbing.
And then the spring comes with sudden burst of light, clear blue skies that reflect the ocean color. The landscape photography becomes dull and monotonous.
Please continue posting on my blog. PS.Your web page is GREAT.

  4. Thanks Maciek. Come spring you can always shift your interest to some cityscapes for example. Wouldn't mind to see how Portugese towns and cities look for that matter. I'll definitely keep visiting your site and if any of your photographs make me leave the comment I'll do that. Technical quality of your photographs became kind of a benchmark for me as I'm trying to learn photography since I bought my Nikon D80 two years ago. Apart from good lenses (have only Nikkor DX 18-35mm which makes the live music photography quite difficult at times) I need to make a habit of waking up very aerly in order to capture the best light moments. Pozdrawiam
