This was the third official "Polish + friends culinary picnic" we organized in Porto.

We welcomed people from as far as Southern Portugal Alentejo region ( thank you Marco and Ania for coming ) and Spanish Galiza ( thank you Monika and Sylwia + our Spanish friends for being with us ).

The heat wave struck us hard

Main Porto city beach, Matosinhos.

Yes, the heat wave struck us hard. After cold winter the spring is back bringing 30º C temperatures and "full of people" beaches of Porto. Photographed from the Praça da Cidade do Salvador, Porto.

A had a dream

On Monday I traveled to Covilha, a small town at the foot of Serra Estrela mountains in central Portugal.
The Church of Saint Mary Major built in 14th century and its beautiful, neo-baroque facade covered with blue Portuguese tiles ( "azulejos" ) with Marian and angles themes stands in the center of the old town. The tiles were produced in 1943 by non-existing-today Alleluia company.

Place: Covilha, Portugal.

A perfect mirror

A story behind: As usual at the end of the evening we stopped at the Foz beach to drink a cup of coffee with just a drop of milk or "pingo" as they call it here in Northern Portugal. The weather was fine. Almost no wind, 17º temperature, nice sky. Simple and tranquil life.
When the sun went down I put my gear and shot some photos. Some ships could be seen on the distant horizon.

My city

A story behind: As you already might have known I dislike modern art. Unfortunately 99% of the "modern art" is garbage. But this huge red net located 100 meters from the Porto beach is alive ! With every ocean breeze it waves, flows, twists and curves. I do like it !

Location: Porto, Portugal

Gear: Nikon D80, polarizing philter.

Aperture: f/10

Focal Length: 19 mm

ISO: 100
